A short film by Frankie Kevich
Trailer
synopsis
An allusion to Leoncavallo's opera "Pagliacci", The Commedia is about a young actress/comedian, Patty, as she stumbles through the awkward and embarrassing tribulations that come with the job. As the criticism and, most of all, the voice in her head push her to the brink of giving up on her dreams, she is approached by Ringleader clown Tonia and her clown posse. They help Patty confront the ideas of perfection and shame that are holding her back.
